Projects and Case Studies
GPR Floor Scanning…
Proper GPR floor scanning helps prevent costly mistakes such as cutting through post-tension cables or damaging embedded utilities, which can lead to structural failures, safety hazards, and expensive repairs. By utilizing advanced scanning techniques and skilled interpretation, professionals can generate detailed subsurface images that guide engineers and contractors in making informed decisions.
Subgrade Condition Assessments
When a severe thunderstorm or a tropical cyclone hits an area, it typically leaves great damage behind. Buildings are usually flooded by the amount of rain that is the aftermath of storms. Flooding could leave structural issues in building foundations.
Utility Locating Project
OmniVueNDT utilized different methods to locate underground utility lines starting with the Utility Locator, Fisher Metal detector and low frequency GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar).
Reverse Engineering with GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar)
This project was performed in a two level parking garage in Clear Lake, Texas, and the actual scope of work was to locate rebar layout in order to design metal brackets. Those metal brackets would provide structural support to the cross beams and the concrete slab.
Precast Wall Scanning
Scanning was performed on the 13th floor at the tallest parking garage of Houston, TX in the Medical Center. The scope of work was to produce rebar layout in a most accurate way prior to coring.
