Documentation in a Different Way

Field documentation is an important task on a job site. A good sketch or a drawing could make or break the success of any reports that are usually generated after the field work. Taking several photos of the site condition is a must, as well as creating a proper and usable sketch, when it comes to site documentation.

OmniVueNDT has raised the standard and implemented LiDAR/Laser scanning in the general workflow to create a TrueView 3D measurable information system so the captured 3D image can be used in the reporting process. Another advantage of this type of documentation is that the model or PointCloud can be shared with a workgroup as well as the client so everybody can take precise measurements.

The following images show an active job site where we performed a GPR investigation. The preliminary information of the findings was marked on the floor. Our 3D documentation allows clients to take measurements and determine dimensions on their screen without physically go to the job site, thus supporting projects in the design stage.
